Starting Project 4
For project 4 my group and I plan to write about a girl living in Morgantown that has a lot of bad luck, so much so that when things seem like they cant get any worse...they do. Our plan is to start with an original story and then add possible stories after that, so the reader can choose what will happen next. You can simply choose A or B and then go from there. We plan to use google maps to show where the different events occur in town. We may also give her a blog.
By thursday we all want to have a beginning to our character's story and then we will decide from there what will happen to her and divide her destiny. We plan to color code our writing so even though it is one story you can identify who wrote each part or you can guess and then look at the index to see if you were right;)
So I guess our to do list is to get our character's story line started, and create her blog and google maps.

The Authorized Biography of Jack O. Lantern
I was born in a pumpkin patch in central southern Pennsylvania. My brothers and sisters and I are orphans, but a very friendly farmer found us when we were small and took very good care of us. I educated myself by listening to others and the ability to read just came to me naturally. Once I reached a defined mature age I was picked right from my home and shipped off to a Wal-Mart in the Morgantown area. One evening a few weeks ago, a lovley couple decided to take me home with them, I was just a pumpkin without a face, but they saw more to me than that. They gave me a face, a mighty handsome one at that, I suppose I could use some dental work, but I think my one snaggle tooth is rather charming. Today I have come to enjoy my new home, when Lee is gone I have the house to myself. I have been reading the books in the living room, I am growing a fondness for classic rock and I have become good friends with the concrete bulldog and the antique Owl salt and pepper shakers.
I enjoy the outdoors, traveling and listening to music. Of course I love halloween and scary movies ;)

Starting Project 3
So I plan to invent someone, probably someone the exact opposite of me because I think that would be fun. I will use myspace because I already have a myspace page and I am somewhat familiar witht the program. Maybe I will even give my ficticious self an address and find it on google maps. Some of the other utilities we are required to use for project 3 I do not know too much about. A facebook page is probably a good idea and I suppose I will need to use one more to meet the criteria for the project.
This person is not in school and has never been, they rarely work and love to play video games and eat fast food. This person litters and is a slob, they like to watch science fiction horror movies and japanimation stuff. This person listens to rap and death metal and prefers not to leave their house much. Their qualities range from interesting to dull, from energetic to sluggish, like me but not like me....
As I understand the assignment we are supposed to develop a person and use the utilities you listed like myspace and facebook to develop this person. Is that what you want for project 3?
Ok, scratch my original plan, now that we have discussed it a little more, I would like to use the sites to express the personality of my late bull dog ;) That sounds more intersting and fun than what I had planned.

Trying to fix up Project 2
I would like to fix my links, I cant get project 2 to link from my home page and now project one is not linking either, I would also like to clean them both up a little. My site in general needs a little maintence to make it easier to find your way around. The images in project two should be centered. Oh yeah! Tomorrow is my Birthday ;)

project two....
Where am at? I have three or four pages that are linked by hot spots that are within the images, I figured out how to make an iframe, and I layered some images last Thursday, but I don't quite remember how to do it. I am having some problems uploading my project 2 files to my web page also, hopefully I will get it straightened out this Thursday.

Summertime
I spent most of my summer on the road this year. It was interesting to say the least. I started right after Memorial Day with a trip home to Parkersburg to visit my family. I am lucky to still have all my grandparents, some really fun aunts, uncles and cousins, and the best mom ever. She took me to the greyhound station real late one night so I could get started on my journey, first stop Asheville, N.C. But there was a five hour layover so I had my best friend Liz come and pick me up from the station in Charlotte, I got there at like 6 in the morning and hung out with some marines that kept thinking I was selling drugs or something until Liz got there. Liz was supposed to come to Asheville with me but she stepped on a piece of glass the night before we were supposed to leave. She gave me a ride anyway and I got to the Asheville Music Jamboree or AmJam at like 9 on the first night, had to set up camp alone and in the dark. The weekend got better and interesting at times. I had a week to kill after the show until Bonnaroo, met up with a different friend Liz that goes to Warren Wilson College in Asheville, she said I could crash with her and then catch a ride to 'roo. Liz works Clean Vibes with me. So I spent a few nights in Liz's dorm room and then went to a Les Claypool show with my friend Cuv.

short memories
When I saw Widespread Panic at Bonnaroo this year it was awsome of course. During Chilly Water instead of just throwing water in the air some of us decided to throw glow stick fluid. Even after being warned I looked up right as slung the flourescent liquid toward the sky, it fell directly into my eyes. It burned, bad. I poured water in my eyes trying to rinse them out, my friends begged me to go to the med tent and get an eye wash, but I refused. It was my only chance to see Panic all summer.... ;)

a familiar place
Its a giant structure, familiar to me and thousands, maybe millions of others. It is constructed and reconstructed in different places. What happens there is not what you see that is so important but what you hear. There is a level of excitement we all feel as we approach this structure. This familiar place will soon produce massive sounds for us to try and ingest. I get goose bumps every time I go there, sometimes I feel like I can't swallow. When the performers begin to appear, I smile and laugh with delight as everyone around me starts cheering loudly. Our energy will soon be fueled by their words and music for what seems like forever.
